Funbrain

http://www.funbrain.com/

This is a website with math-games and other games for the pupils. There are also books and comics to read online.

A good thing with this website is that the teachers can search after games and activities that are appropriate for the class accordning to age, skills and subjects.

Parents also have their own page at the website where they can find activities for their childen. This could be used as an alternative to traditional homework in math - if the teaches feels that a pupil needs to practice more on something, this page can be recommended as something fun and not as a boring homework that has to be done.
The parents' page also contains ideas for activities at home and there is a message board where parents can talk to each other.

Pupils can use this website in class when there is something special they need to practice, or at home for practice or just as a fun activitie. They can choose how hard they want the activities to be and make it harder and harder as they learn. If it is a Swedish class all games can contribute in the pupils' English learning since the page is all in English.

This website creates an opportunity for parents to be involved in some of their childrens work at school.

What should be considered when using this page is that the pupils can go in and look at what the parents wright to each other and it is a possibilaty that the things they can read there are not always appropriate.
